A New Year Renewal
December 31, 2017

2018 is almost here. Christmas has passed, the presents are unwrapped and, sadly,
many returned; calories have piled on and the new year looms large in front of us.
I never make New Year’s resolutions. Why? I just know that somewhere between 2 and 60 days I will cave and therefore fail … so no thanks!
But I am prepared to make a strong re-commitment this new year.
It starts with looking back on this previous year and seeing all that went right … and even more, all that went wrong. It also means being newly inspired — or at least renewing the inspiration that started me down my current path in the first place.
For me, that inspiration comes from examining all the sacrifices my great-grandfather made for this country. I probably won’t match his efforts, but as sure as a liberal’s love for big government, I can do my best to make the most of the opportunities before me.
When my Great Grandfather was 61 years old he gave up his world famous band, along with millions in income each year, and he joined the US Navy to help raise money to support America’s war effort in WWI. His hard work paid off and he was immensely successful making sure the country he loved with all his heart won the war against theenemies of freedom.
Donald Trump became President at age 70 because he too understood the pressing need — as much from domestic enemies of freedom as foreign. In the year since taking the oath, Trump has been brutally abused by the media and the left who bombard him and his administration daily with lies and ‘fake news’. And yet each day he gets up, dusts himself off and goes to work for the American people.
Both of these men love their country and sacrificed a great deal to serve their country. We all should be very grateful.
Well, I don’t have a band to give up, and for damn sure I am not going to run for public office certain as I am that the very liberal voters of LaLa Land, Connecticut, would reject any such candidacy if I did.
So I plan to redouble my efforts to make sure that our Super PAC, Stars and Stripes
Forever, is successful in November of 2018.
So what does that mean; a little background.
As I think most of you know, since 2014 we successfully drafted Ben Carson to run for
President … we ran ads on black radio stations in two US Senate races assuring the
victories of two Republicans over incumbent democrats … we ran still more ads on black stations helping win the victory for Donald Trump in three very blue states and two purple ones … we then ran more ads on black radio stations in the Georgia 6 special election assuring a Republican victory there.
What happened next was probably predictable. The Democrats realized that the black voters they had taken for granted the past 50 years as reliably Democrat weren’t. In a cynical effort to solidify their coalition, they started screaming racism at every opportunity — trying to convince blacks that there was something nefarious about Republicans who advocated more jobs, greater education opportunities, and fewer abortions of black babies.
In both the Virginia Gubernatorial election and the Alabama Senate special election, they spent millions on television and radio ads that called Republicans neo-nazis, claimed our candidates had cut a secret deal with white nationalists, and implied we were interested in rounding up and deporting anyone of color.
They outspent us by millions of dollars, and they succeeded in crowding out thoughtful and rational discussion. In fact, in Alabama they successfully drove a record number of blacks to turn out for Doug Jones, a candidate proud of policy stands that will kill thousands more black babies, further limit educational opportunities for black kids, and keep poor black families firmly stuck in the welfare state.
Like Donald Trump, and my great-grandfather before him, we must fight the liberal
machine that resorts to fear and deceit to bring blacks into their camp. Patriotism
demands we carry the truth of what liberal statism has wrought into the homes and
neighborhoods of black families across America.
We’ve proven it can be done. We have the right team. But it’s obvious the Democrats
aren’t going to ignore us any longer. They know their arguments for more government, higher taxes, and less freedom are increasingly falling on deaf ears.
They know their only chance is to convinced minorities and women that Republicans are hateful and mean-spirited. You and I know it’s not true, but we need to make sure minority voters know it as well.
We have identified nine states where Trump won and liberal senators are up for reelection.
We know that if we can get just 6-8% of blacks to vote for the Republican candidate, we will give president Trump a veto proof Senate so he can continue to deliver on the
promises he has made to the American people.
We have a top notch team - a Board of Directors with decades of practical political
experience, a media genius, and a team of writers, fund raisers and strategy specialists.
We know the voters who will respond if they hear our message, we’ve picked the stations we want to run ads on, we’ve already written many of the scripts.
So my task in this new year is to make sure we find the funding for this incredibly important and proven project.
I’ll keep you posted on our progress and hope you will join us at:

Many thanks and a very blessed new year for you and yours.
