A Time to Fight

I’m all for a rousing debate where each side states his or her position, argues their case, and in the end, shakes hands and gets on with life. That’s fair and respectful. And, unlike most of our conversations today, it’s useful.

What’s not useful is when one side promotes dishonesty, exaggerations, and hypocrisy. That’s exactly what left-wing Democrats have been doing for a great many years, and it’s only gotten worse since Trump took office.

Just this week, Time magazine (where my father worked for 30+ years) ran a bright red cover with photos of a crying illegal immigrant child and Donald Trump looming over her. The story inside claimed this poor child was ripped from the arms of her mother thanks to the abusive policies of Donald Trump. Time reported that all the desperate mother wanted was asylum in the U.S. from persecution in her own country.

The problem is that the story was almost entirely untrue. Here are the facts — which any Junior High School reporter could have uncovered in about 5 minutes:

1. The child was NEVER separated from her mother.

2. The woman had kidnapped this child from the father.

3. The woman was NOT seeking asylum, but rather wanted the good life that America offered.

4. The woman had been deported before.

5. And the woman paid smugglers $6000.00 to get her and her kidnapped child back into the US.

The Time magazine story just wasn’t true. But that no longer surprises those of us who have watched the mainstream media increasingly tow the left’s dishonest characterizations of conservatives generally and Donald Trump especially.

For 90% of the media, the truth doesn’t play well to the left’s agenda of portraying mean old Donald Trump ripping families apart, putting kids in detention centers — in fact, treating illegal immigrants like the Nazis treated the Jews.

This is just one reliably small example of how the left uses deception to push their agenda of ‘RESIST’ and IMPEACH on the American public.

There are many more.  

Two nights ago poor Sarah Sanders and her family were chased out of a restaurant during dinner because of her work in the Trump Administration. Apparently the restaurant’s owners, and her fellow diners, believed the media’s narrative that since she works for Trump she is a bad person who doesn’t deserve to enjoy dinner in peace. REALLY?

She’s not the first and sadly she won’t be the last. Both Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior advisor Stephen Miller have been heckled in separate incidents at restaurants in the Washington area.

ENOUGH is enough! It’s time to fight back!

It’s time we “deplorables” stood up to these left wing thugs. We have GREAT power, we just have to use it. There’s lots of things you can do, but here are just a few.

1. When publications and networks lie, call them and tell them you won’t watch the garbage they spew. Call them out on social media too because word-of-mouth is one of the most successful tactics we have.  
   
   

2. Call their sponsors and tell them you won’t do business with companies that support dishonest journalists and broadcasters. Put their numbers on your speed dial and when you hear something that you know is simply pure progressive propaganda, speak out with your wallet. Don’t be fooled that you have to make a big deal about it. Just call them and tell them why you’ll no longer buy what they’re selling.
   
   

3. Write a blog on your facebook page; let the other side know we are on to their lies, exaggerations and untruths. State facts (NOT BS.) Be clear, concise, and pointed.
   
   

4. Put an American Flag decal on your car…the bigger the better. Wear a flag pin on your lapel too. And when you see others doing the same thing, thank them for standing up for our country.
   
   

5. Finally, give something each month to one of the many conservative groups trying to elect good men and women to political positions. As Chairman of Stars and Stripes Forever PAC, I believe in our mission of defeating liberal politicians with conservatives who love our country and want to protect our free enterprise system. There are other groups doing good work too. If all of us gave just $15 or $20 each month, we could undo the damage done by liberals over the last 40 years.

It’s little things like these that add up to produce big results.  And folks, we need results now more than ever. The time for sitting by and watching leftists erode America’s values is over. We MUST fight back…one decal at a time … one phone call at a time … one lapel pin at a time … one small donation at a time … and one ‘THANK YOU’ at a time.

Let’s not miss this chance. We’re still free, but you and I know the truth: freedom won’t last once the left gets their way, and we’re running out of time.
