Are You Freaking Kidding Me?

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) comes out against Israel, our #1 ally in the Middle East (and maybe throughout the entire world) and the socialists in Congress go bonkers. Not to condemn her, but to protect her.

No new news right? Left wing sentiment has increasingly moved against Israel as sympathy for Palestine has become more fashionable.

Given that new orientation on the left, it’s no particular surprise the Muslim from Minnesota would join the left’s attacks against our Israeli allies.

The real problem is the anti-Semitic language Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) used to describe those Americans who still support our Israeli allies. In one tweet, she said they were bought off by Jewish money. In another, she suggested Jewish Americans were more loyal to Israel than they were to their own country.

Really? Representative Omar is a Muslim who has spent years bad-mouthing America and our values, apologizing for Islamic extremism, advocating we accede to Iranian demands, and she has the nerve to accuse Jewish Americans of disloyalty!

Now, obviously, her defenders claim we are only picking on Omar because she is Muslim. They say she’s just exercising her free speech rights. Don’t forget, these are the same people who cry racism against anyone who suggests that “all lives matter.” Apparently their repugnance against prejudice doesn’t extend to Jews.

Now don’t get me wrong. The leftists who run the Democratic Party see a danger in bald-faced anti-semitism. For them, it’s about losing Jewish votes to Republicans. And to prevent that, they’ve authored a resolution condemning anti-semitism.

Their resolution though is a joke that doesn’t even rise to the level of a slap on the wrist. In fact, their resolution doesn’t mention Omar by name despite her being the number 1 anti-semite in Congress.

To confirm their charade, they even added a clause that condemns anyone who criticizes Muslims. The net effect is to assert that any criticism of Muslims (extremists et. al.) is exactly the same as accusing Jewish Americans of treason.

Seriously? Was it Jews who attacked the US on 9-11 and killed 3,000 innocent Americans? Of course not, that would be Muslim extremists.

No, we’re not criticizing Representative Omar because she’s a Muslim. We’re criticizing her because she hates Jews, questions their loyalty, and supports policies that put Palestine and Iran ahead of our long-time and trustworthy ally, Israel.

Even more, by word and action she’s made clear she hates the values America stands for, the free enterprise system at our core, and the role we play in the world to encourage freedom, democracy, and progress.

The new batch of Congressional thugs like Ilhan Omar, Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib think the handful of voters who elected them mean they enjoy popular support to radically change America, its institutions, and its economic system.

Their new American future? SOCIALISM. Giving government control (meaning ELITIST control) on everything from health care, to education, to where we can live, to who gets paid what, and what we can say. YIKES!

Their favorite tactic: pit one group against another. For Rep. Omar it means convincing everyone to distrust Jews.

Others have taken point on doing the same against Christians (the socialists hate us almost as much as they hate the Jews.) They also want to convince us that every black American is the victim of white Americans. And, of course, Hispanics will keep hearing that Trump and his followers hate them — just look how he’s trying to improve security on our southern border.

These are all tactics right out of Obama’s playbook. He was a genius at this! In 8 years he managed to roll back decades of progress in racial reconciliation. He also drove divisions on gender, class, age, and religion. Always claiming Democrats were on the side of the oppressed. Which is amazing since their policies have done more than any others to lock the oppressed into a permanent underclass.

We shouldn’t have to remind Representative Omar and her leftist friends of the hundreds of thousands of American kids who have fought this brand of ugliness from Hitler to Bin Laden. Even if we did, they’d no doubt fault them and us.

Hopefully, we’re not so far gone that a large majority of us aren’t as outraged by their hatefulness as me. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and all those Americans who have fought this kind of ignorance to do everything we can to stand up against them and their hate.
