Constrained by Reality

The “Democratic” Socialists seem to love me.

I received another email from one of the several Democratic Socialists who will be running for president in 2020. It was Senator Elizabeth Warren of Pocahantas renown. And here is part of what she had to say.

Another missive that shows just how the left twists reality for political gain. Please, allow me to translate this for you.

When Warren says, “Be on the offense in our fight for working people,” here’s what she means. Once Democrats gain a Congressional majority we’ll move immediately to raise your taxes.

Here’s what she means when she says, “We can call for hearings”, we will immediately start impeachment hearings against President Trump; then we’ll go after Vice-President Pence.

Next she says, “We can bring bills to the floor.” She’s really saying, not only will we raise taxes, we’ll also restore the job-killing, business strangling big government regulations that Trump eliminated. It means we will get rid of ICE and open our borders. It means immediate amnesty for illegal aliens — and full access to all the benefits we give to regular citizens including the right to vote. It means gutting our military preparedness and making our country more vulnerable to terrorists. Ultimately, it means returning to the Obama approach of big government, higher taxes, more deficits and fewer jobs — except on steroids. In other words, if you liked Obama, you’ll fall in love with the Democrat Socialists.

Then there’s this: “We will be able to get congress working again”. What that means is that we don’t like ANYthing that has been done by the Trump Administration and we will reverse EVERYthing.

If all this sounds good to you, then you’ve found your political home.

But if, in fact, you like the progress of the last year and a half — lower taxes, more jobs, greater freedom, rising prosperity, a safer and more secure America, and so much more — then you must svote for the Republicans up and down the ballot.

It’s just that simple, and that real. The Democrat Socialists will twist and squirm until reality no longer resembles truth at all. It’s part of their cynical political strategy to gain control.

We conservatives have it both easier and harder. We have it easier because reality is our friend so we don’t have any problem talking in straight and understandable sentences. But we have it harder because our regard for reality means we can’t just tell people what they want to hear. We can’t promise free stuff, peace without sacrifice, or that only the rich will pay. Unlike the socialists, we are constrained by the truth.
