East and West

On the West Coast, 8 members of the California Legislature have introduced a law that would ban books, services, or speech that might help anyone who expresses a desire to change their same-sex desires or address their gender confusion. It’s an absolute attack on freedom of speech.

On the East Coast, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio took a huge swing at the right of individuals to own private property.

I want you to think about these politicians because they’re just the tip of the iceberg. The bigger problem is that they were elected by people who thought they were worth voting for. I don’t know about you, but quite frankly to me that means we may be doomed.

Now, I am sure that these politicians (and there are many more who feel the way they do) didn’t campaign on these positions. And even if they had, the left wing media would have covered for them and kept it quiet because these are exactly the kinds of “rulers” most of the media is happy to help elect.

It’s odd, given the fact that if the media gets their way, they’ll have helped elect politicians who want the government to tell them what to publish and what not to publish. If that happens, one wonders how long it will take the fake news outlets to yell CENSORSHIP and cry for the days when they could say what they want about anyone they chose. Be careful what you wish for!

Of course, ultimately it’s disturbing there is any politician in America who wants the government to control what we say. Don’t be fooled. It’s not about gay rights. It’s about the fact that these communists think the government has any business telling us what we can say. If they had their way, I could be executed for writing this blog. Ultimately, these people can justify the use of government force to silence all conservatives, all Libertarians, and ANYONE else who disagrees with their positions on any subject.

And then there is the clown in NYC who very publicly told an interviewer with the New York Post that government should dictate who lives where, should decide what they pay for housing, and should in fact own all the housing in the city (maybe the commercial real estate as well.)

The Mayor of New York, a full blown socialist, doesn’t think you have a right to that big beautiful condo on Park Avenue (especially if you didn’t contribute to his campaign,) and that the government should control the proper mix of residents as he decides what’s “proper.” Conceivably, that means he will determine the right ratio of poor to rich, old to young, black to hispanic, etc…He suggests it should be government’s job to distribute residents among the various communities of New York City. One shudders for those who didn’t contribute to his last campaign, they’re likely to end up in some very seedy part of town.

We’ve seen this kind of total control over citizens’ lives many times before — Stalin’s Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia; and Jong-Un’s North Korea. And the list goes on. But the California and New York politicians — and all those in our country who agree with them — represent a kind of evil we have NOT seen before in the United States.

If you’re not part of their inner circle of “protected” elites, then God help you. They want to own your life, your family, and your future — which is anything but rosy.

About the only thing Obama ever said that I absolutely agree with is this: “‘ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES’.

I agree because it’s so true.
