Hate and Shame

I love getting email from the Democratic Party. Every time an email from the Socialist Democrats arrives in my in box I realize just how right we are to be on the conservative side of the debate.

In today's email, they offered to sell me a tote bag featuring this bold message:

A lovely sentiment, but really? This from the party that holds up the severed head of Donald Trump? This from the party where Congressman Maxine Waters constantly yells “Impeach 45,” and calls on her followers to harass all members of the Trump Administration wherever they are found? This from the party that excuses the violence of anarchists and socialists like ANTIFA, whose members beat up patriots whose only offense is carrying the American Flag, and the anti-police organization, Black Lives Matter?

If only this were true. It would be nice to engage in reasonable discussion about the challenges that face our nation and the issues that will determine its future. It would be refreshing to compromise in good faith.

But alas, for eight long years President Obama and the Democrat machine deliberately divided our people in nearly every way imaginable in a cynical effort to score political points and gain power. Nothing was out of bounds, they divided us around ethnicity, gender, age, income, ideology, political party, and so much more. They created a victimization mentality that infected every corner of our political system. They replaced solutions with resentment, reason with hyperbole, honesty with cynicism, and truth with indecency.

Imagine the disappointment when their strategy of division blew up and President Trump beat Hillary Clinton, the odds-on favorite. That election led to an outpouring of Democrat hate and vitriol that continues to fester and poison our entire political landscape. All thanks to the very same people who want to sell me a tote bag with the words:

Take just the most recent front-page example: the revolting treatment dished up by the Democrat Socialists against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. It has been nothing more than pure undisguised, unadulterated hate — for the man, for his family and for his beliefs.

Really? Oh, I pray it was so. But sadly, for Democrats the truth means nothing. Instead, they will spew whatever they think appeals to the greatest number of voters, raise the biggest money, and most disrupts the peace — anything necessary to take control and keep it.

Clearly, there is no shortage of hate among Democrats. What they need is a little more shame.
