I have a question (well actually, several)
October 31, 2017

Have you ever known anyone who has had major doses of chemotherapy to help fight cancer? More specifically, have you known anyone who has been subjected to chemotherapy to help fight brain cancer?
I have, and the one thing I know for sure is that chemotherapy really messes with one’s ability to process information, think clearly, and make rational decisions. Sadly, it’s a fact that one of the most beneficial tools we have to fight cancer can also cause our brains to mis-function.
We, the American people, elect representatives who we believe will serve our best interests and cast votes on important legislation based on facts and the absolute ability to make sound judgements.
I will admit, upfront, I am no big supporter of John McCain’s. His dreadful campaign for president allowed Obama to occupy the White House and begin the process of destroying our country.
But putting that aside, John McCain has recently had major doses of chemotherapy to help fight brain cancer.
Honestly, I’m sorry he has cancer. I’m sure you, like me, would never wish cancer on anyone. But I’m also very concerned that he is still in office making critical decisions while it is VERY possible his brain is damaged and cannot fully process information or make rational decisions.
On another subject, imagine what the press and my friends on the left would have said if two years go I said during a speech that I was going to, “take out Obama.”
It’s not likely I would have received the benefit of any doubt and that my words would have been interpreted as my earnest desire to take President Obama to lunch. Instead, allegations of my homicidal intent would have appeared in every article, tweet, and post the left could conceive within moments of such a statement. (And just to be clear, I have no such homicidal intent.)
It’s likely the hysteria would not have stopped there. In fact, if I’d spent damn near the entire previous year talking about impeaching Obama, and getting him out of office, it’s more than likely I would receive a visit from my friendly neighborhood secret service agent who would haul me and my big mouth off to jail till they decided whether I was a serious threat.
And they’d be right to do so — they would simply be doing their job!
None of that has stopped the left from making some pretty threatening attacks against President Trump. Witness the fact that just a few days ago, Congresswoman Maxine Waters gave a speech in which she said, “I’m going to take Trump out.”
So what’s the connection between these two — Senator McCain and Congresswoman Waters? No pun intended, but in a nutshell, both are politicians we trust to make rational decisions who have become untethered from the bonds of reality. In my opinion, their lack of ability to think properly — there complete severing from reality — disqualifies them from serving in Congress.
Afterall, if it was you or I who had slipped into behaviors and thought patterns completely oblivious to the facts around us, at the very least we would lose our jobs. Just as likely, men in white coats would show up at the front door, remove our shoelaces and belt, and hustle us forthwith to the local sanitarium for observation.
Yet, John McCain and Maxine Waters not only continue their service, they prosper! Why? Because the elites who run our government have grown accustomed to treating their own differently than the rest of us.
If John McCain had any other job than serving as a member of Congress, the impairment to his mental faculties cause by chemotherapy for brain cancer would require he take medical leave.
At least he has a reasonable excuse for his inability to process information rationally.
Maxine Waters has no such excuse. Yet she is somehow allowed to keep her job as a congresswoman even though she CLEARLY threatened the president’s life. In the real (non-political) world, she would be fired or more, in jail.
What these two (and many, many more in Swampland, DC) have totally forgotten is that their job is to serve the people; it is not to break the law with no consequence, or to keep your job regardless of your mental health.
Folks, something is terribly wrong!
Our elected officials have put themselves above the laws of our land and the laws of common sense. And it is well past time to turn this around. NOW!
