It’s war!

I don’t know how else to state it.

The swamp dwellers, the Washington insiders, the Hollywood elite and, of course, the everyday liberals and progressives (have I omitted anyone?) have declared war on us.

Who is us?  

We are regular working people, small business owners, moms and dads who love our country and would just as soon not have bureaucrats and politicians telling us how we’re to behave and what we’re to think.

We are Americans who were born here or immigrants who came to America to take part in the history of the single greatest movement devised by man: government for and by a free people.

We are people who stand for our National Anthem, who smile when we see an American flag waving in the wind. We thrill when our troops come home safely and mourn the loss of even one American service member. We believe in a strong military combined with a savvy foreign policy. We want a responsive, nimble government that tells us the truth, politicians more interested in doing the right thing for our country and the well being of our people, than doing what will get them re-elected.

We want lower taxes, a balanced budget, and a government that cares more about protecting freedom and the pursuit of happiness, than in taking care of us or anyone else in the world. We know government can’t solve all problems, but it can lay the groundwork for a prosperous economy full of opportunity for all its citizens, that provides a system of public schools that empowers families with freedom to choose the schools they want their children to attend so they have a fair chance at a great education; and options that provide the chance for vocational training that will insure good jobs with really good wages.

We do not want to be at the control or mercy of our government for health care. We do want government to provide for our common safety and protection from enemies both domestic and foreign.

The Elite swamp dwellers clearly have a very different agenda!

Why wont they participate in the process of lowering taxes to make our economy more prosperous and our country more competitive? Why is it that General Flynn is being prosecuted for lying to the FBI and Hillary Clinton is not? How in anyone’s mind is that fair or right?

The progressive icon, Nancy Pelosi calls the tax bill the end of the world. Really? The end of the world?

She and the swamp dwellers on the left do not want us to pay less money into the government because they believe they’re entitled to it. They truly believe it is their money to use in the care and feeding of anyone they deem worth as prescribed by their liberal social doctrine.

So Americans, it’s war: it’s us against them. If we do not fight, if we surrender to the type of America they want and not the America that our founding fathers established; the America we fought countless wars and gave hundreds of thousands of American lives to preserve and protect, then we should tell our children and grand kids that they are on the own.  

We should tell them they can expect to live with the far-left policies of Barack Obama, of Nancy Pelosi, of Maxine Waters, of Chuck Schumer and all the rest who want to control our lives and our money.

How do we fight? It sounds corny, but it is effective. Mobilize yourself and your friends. Write letters to your representatives. Volunteer in political campaigns. Run for public office at any level — school board… city council … legislature … U.S. Senate.

Donate your time and money to those causes that will help us save our Republic.

Explain and inform (not fight) with friends and neighbors that the future of freedom in American is up to us. If they don’t like Trump, fine, but explain that he is but one man — and that while we may not care for his rhetoric — his policies and plans are really good for our kids and grand-kids.  

That is unless they are among those who believe the government can take better care of us and our money that we can. If that’s what they believe, then be kind, but move on.

This is a war we must win. We simply have no choice.
