Lies, Lies, Damned Lies
September 11, 2018

Sometimes I read or hear what the media says, or the left says (but I repeat myself,) and can’t help but smile. Saying to myself, “self, there is just no possible way anyone will believe this garbage,” and then I move on.
But over the last few days, at least one former and one wanna-be president have pushed the envelope just a wee bit too far.
Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey, a truly far left Socialist Democrat is working hard to ingratiate himself with the left-wing base of the Democrat Party by fighting Trump at every turn; and I mean EVERY turn.
During confirmation hearings last week, Senator Booker alleged he possessed “secret” documents that proved Judge Kavanaugh supported racial profiling. The bumptious Senator Booker went on to credit himself with great heroism for his courage in releasing these so-called “secret” documents without authorization. He claimed his potential expulsion from the Senate was the price he was willing to pay to protect our country from a racist judge. Cory Booker even referred to himself as Spartacus.
Uh, just a couple of inconvenient problems prove the Senator’s allegations are not only untrue, but also that the Senator is guilty of blatant puffery.
First, the Chairman of the Committee had earlier offered to unseal any documents that committee members requested be released. And true to the Chairman’s word, Senator Booker was notified that the documents were in fact released at 4 am, several hours before Booker’s courageous offer to take one for the country. What’s even more significant is the Senator’s apparent severe dyslexia in not understanding the documents proved exactly the reverse of Booker’s allegations. Rather than confirm Booker’s accusations, the documents in fact proved the good judge was anything but a racist.
The fact is, Cory Booker’s deceitful characterization of the documents said far more about the Senator’s absence of character and bombastic grand standing than they did about Judge Kavanaugh.
But Booker’s false bluster wasn’t the only outrageous example of gas bagging by a politician last week. At a campaign rally for one of his Democrat Socialist friends, our former president, Barack Obama, informed the world that the booming economy we’re currently enjoying is all really thanks to his brilliant leadership.
I’m not sure who he expects will take this seriously other than his fellow leftists and the mainstream media (still again, I repeat myself.) But for anyone tempted, let me make a couple of points.
First, while campaigning for Hillary in 2016, Obama said that the jobs Trump promised to deliver could NEVER happen. They have. Obama said manufacturing in America was dead. Trump revived it. And Obama — along with his very liberal corps of economic fellow travelers — proclaimed we had to learn to accept a “new normal” of economic anemia that could never again rise above 2%. Once again, Obama was proved wrong.
Second, if you’re tempted to believe President Obama’s claims of his magnificent economic prowess, I’d love to show you a bridge that’s recently come on the market.
Anybody who’s been conscious over the last few years has to admit that our economy isn’t great because of Obama’s policies, but rather because in his first days as president, Donald Trump reversed most of Obama’s policies in favor of good old fashioned American Capitalism.
Barack Obama and Cory Booker have reminded us in recent days that all the sanctimony of leftists about their own purity is nothing more than self-seeking vanity. Narcissism flourishes as much in the new Democratic Party as it did in the old. The real difference seems to be the unprecedented ignorance of its political leaders and their utter contempt for the intelligence of its regular members.
