Maxine's Gift

I love Maxine Waters. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t vote for Maxine Waters if she were the last living politician on the face of the earth. In fact, I’d be hard pressed to suffer a raging current were it required to save her from drowning. That doesn’t diminish my gratitude every time she opens her mouth. More than welcoming her tirades, I just love them.

Thanks to her many looney outbursts, she’s become the new face of the Democratic Party — a political sinkhole that is increasingly unhinged, socialist-leaning, authoritarian, law-breaking, and corrupt.

True to her penchant for incomprehensible rants, Congresswoman Waters suggested with a straight face today that the Supreme Court vacancy created by Justice Kennedy’s retirement be filled with an illegal immigrant.

Forget for a moment the illegality of such an act, and consider the broader implications. What does an illegal immigrant know about our laws? What would she or he know of our history? The motives, acts, and philosophy of our founders? The values, freedoms, and responsibilities embodied in our Constitution?  

Folks, you just can’t make this stuff up.

And think too about Maxine’s fearless leader and co-conspirator, Nancy Pelosi. Before Pelosi even knew how many were killed in yesterday’s Maryland shooting, she’d launched a rant on gun control. Never mind the shooter used the same kind of shotgun used by the vast majority of hunters and sportsmen for generations, and a highly regarded tool for self defense. The fact that the gun used was about as far from an assault weapon as you could imagine didn’t slow Pelosi from riding her high horse right over the Second Amendment.

But back to Maxine Waters.

After Sarah Sanders was thrown out of a Virginia restaurant by Trump haters, Waters suggested at a poorly attended rally that all Democrats should harass anyone who works for President Trump at every opportunity…when you see them shopping, dining, buying gas or doing anything in public. I think her words were actually that Democrats should gather in large numbers and make sure those working for Trump know they are not welcome here. YIKES!

But that’s only a pale example of that with which she threatens the President himself. She’s said Trump should be killed. She’s called for his impeachment and leads the “IMPEACH 45” movement, despite the fact she’s failed to list even one charge that would serve as legitimate grounds.  

And make no mistake, it is these outrages and these alone that qualify her as the face of the new Democratic Party. Her 20 year plus record in Congress certainly doesn’t indicate any promise of greatness — she’s managed to pass only 3 bills, and one of those was name a post office.

Isn’t it interesting that America’s taxpayers have compensated Maxine well over $2 million in cash (closer to $8 million when benefits and retirement are included,) and in return her greatest accomplishment on our behalf is the naming of a post office?  Hell, I would have done the same thing for a measly $100,000.

Yes, Maxine Waters is a disgrace. And that’s her gift to the rest of us because as the perfect face for the new Democratic Party she personifies its utter derangement.

Compared to Maxine and the liberal Democrats who adore her, Donald Trump starts looking pretty darned good!
