NO-NO-Nancy
February 01, 2019

In my experience, if someone has any interest at all in reaching a deal — even if they expect the other side to mostly give in — they don’t just keep saying no.
But that is exactly the attitude of “No-No-Nancy.”
Every time she’s asked about the wall, she says, “NO!” Not, “Well if the President scaled back His plan.” Not, “it might work in some limited, more populous areas.” Not at all. She offers no alternative but drones. Now I’m not saying drones can’t be useful, but we have drones and we know what they can do and what they cannot. A drone is not going to catch an illegal who hops a fence and disappears into a neighborhood. It’s certainly not going to confine anyone who wants to get from point A (Mexico) to point B (Cincinnati.)
She calls the wall immoral, but is perfectly fine with large walls around prisons, embassies, and the homes of her elitist friends. As an aside, she supports offering abortion right up to the time of birth despite claiming she’s a “good” Catholic. Nothing immoral about that. But I digress.
Wouldn’t it be refreshing if No-No-Nancy would offer some alternative idea to her single talking point: “NO-NO-NOTHING.” Doesn’t she understand that Americans would like some indication she cares at least as much about them as she claims to care about people here illegally?
I’m convinced that the truth is she doesn’t really care about illegal immigrants or innocent Americans. I’m convinced No-No-Nancy cares only about winning the next election and beating Donald Trump. And she doesn’t care who it hurts — you and me; or the migrant trying to get across the border.
The fact is that it’s all politics for her.
If it was anything else, she couldn’t intellectually justify the idea that walls don’t ever work at all. Her assertions defy plain reality. Would we put walls up at the zoo if they didn’t work to separate animals from humans? Would we use walls at prisons? Why else erect fences at schools but to protect children from those who don’t belong on school grounds?
No, Nancy Pelosi is either insane and completely disassociated from reality or what she says is not really what she knows to be true.
Trump re-opened the government. So No-No-Nancy and Chucky, her sidekick, believe they have won this one. You can tell by the smirks on their faces. Maybe they have.
But the next time a kid overdoses from drugs illegally brought into this country … or an illegal immigrant rapes and kills a young girl … or a cop is killed by an illegal … or an MS-13 gang member beheads a teenage boy who simply happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time; we have to ask whether a wall could have prevented it. Millions of Americans — both Democrats and Republicans will be asking that question. And neither No-No-Nancy — nor her friends — will be able to hide from those questions.
We elect individuals to represent ALL the people; not just the people who agree with them.
A very large number of our population want to stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming into America. She knows that because while No-No and her cronies refuse to even consider the mention of a border wall, they harp on and on about border security. The problem is they don’t want to do anything about it. She’s been in office for how long? She’s had decades to address this problem. It’s only getting worse.
Where’s the drones? We have them, they’re not working. Where’s E-Verify? Nowhere. Where’s immigration reform? We tried, but she said “No-No” then too.
It’s clear No-No Nancy and her never-Trump allies aren’t interested in solving the problem. They never were. They’re only using migrants to gain a political advantage.
To say Nancy Pelosi and her friends should put people ahead of politics is obvious. But it misses the fundamental problem. It’s not people she cares about. It’s control. Always has been, and sadly, it probably always will be.
