Now What?

Do the Washington politicians take even a second to think about why we put them there?

Last night we saw a light begin to shine on what the next two years will look like for the American people.

Nancy Pelosi, surrounded by some of the most liberal members in Congress, proudly boasted that the next two years will be “all about stopping the GOP.”

Now, we already know Pelosi exhibits zero humility and is hardly known as a long term thinker, but you’d think she might have used the opportunity last night to at least pretend she wanted to bring Americans together for a better life.

But NO! It's clear that Nancy Pelosi, along with her leftist friends who lead the Democrat Party, can’t wait to step up the strategy they’ve pursued exclusively for the last two years. It’ll be more RESIST, more REVOLT and more STOP Trump at every point.

Question: How does this benefit America?

Democrats certainly had a great chance last night to push forward their goal of victory in 2020. But Nancy Pelosi blew it. All she had to say was, “We Democrats are anxious to work with the President and the Senate to improve America’s Infrastructure, find compromise on immigration, provide greater access to health care, and recognize the President’s recent success reducing the cost of pharmaceuticals.” She could have said, “We Democrats in the House look forward to working with the President and Republicans to make America better, safer, healthier and more prosperous for all Americans.”

WOW, what a powerful statement that would have been. But no, all Nancy wants to do is stop the GOP and work to do anything necessary to embarrass and defeat Trump.

No doubt the divisive, anti-progress agenda isn’t confined to Pelosi. We can also expect all the new committee chairs to climb on board by opening investigations into every wrinkle of Trump’s life and the lives of those who serve in his Administration. Along with a flurry of subpoenas, press conferences, and news releases; we will be subject ad nauseam to hours of Democrat talking heads making phony allegations against Trump and Republicans.

America is about to learn that while any jack ass can throw mud, a jackass who chairs a Congressional Committee gets more press — whether there’s any truth or not to back the charges up. One thing for sure, the new emphasis on spurious investigations and political grand-standing will tie up these important committees and prevent their accomplishing anything significant.

Sadly, this means we are going to have a do-nothing Congress for the next 2 years. Yes, Republican gains in the Senate mean we’ll get a bunch of new judges confirmed (and that is GREAT news.) It also means we’ll be able to stop the moronic legislation coming from a new left-wing House. Fundamentally, though, not a damn thing will be accomplished in the next two years. Instead of meaningful progress, it will just be more hysteria, more blame shifting, and more bad behavior.

A Democrat dominated House also means that any hope we might finally learn the truth about corruption by Hillary, Obama, Comey, Holder, or anyone else in the entire tainted Obama Administration is now gone. Likewise for any chance of finding justice for the 4 Americans murdered in Benghazi. All investigations currently underway will be buried never again to see the light of day.

For those Americans hoping this election would force politicians to match their promises with more hard work, greater civility, and a new level of decency; it’s a sad day. All we can really expect from the next two years now; is more anti-Trump hysteria, more finger pointing, and more excuses.
