Open Borders
July 12, 2018

Sounds like a completely ridiculous notion, right? Open borders. If taken literally it simply means that anyone — no, everyone — with a desire to come to America can do so. Short term, or for the rest of their lives.
In the words of John Lennon, “Imagine all the people sharing all the world.” Sounds nice does it not? The only problem is that not all the world shares the same values we do.
So instead of sharing the world, all the people will mostly share America.
Why? Well imagine for a second a law that requires you take the doors off your home and welcome anyone who cares to enter. You’d be required to welcome the homeless and those living in a smaller, or less well furnished home. You’d have to accommodate them whether they were looking for a sunnier, warmer climate; or just more bathrooms. How long do you think it’d take for the sun to dim and those bathrooms to be overrun? Welcome to life as the lowest common denominator.
But it is far more dangerous than that. Opening your home to anyone and everyone means child molesters could bunk with your young daughter, murderers would gain free access to your family, thieves could help themselves to your hard earned valuables. And not just you and your’s, but everyone else’s who chose to move in. Yikes, not exactly utopia after all.
But that’s not all. Open doors may mean free housing for others, but the mortgage is still your’s. So are all the other expenses. You’d be forced to keep your job, but not expect others to help. And since you’d be the main or only bread winner, it would be your responsibility to feed, clothe, educate, and provide health care.
You say, “that can’t be, I’d run out of money.” Of course you would. And worse, since you’d eventually be unable to provide for those who’d invaded your home; they’d revolt, take a vote (or not,) and throw you out.
Opening your doors to everyone no matter their values or motives would inevitably result in chaos for your home. So why in the world does the left expect something otherwise from opening America’s borders?
But that’s exactly what they’re calling for when they demand the government abolish ICE — the federal agency responsible for enforcing our immigration laws. ICE is also the agency that’s supposed to round up illegals accused of crime and make sure they’re deported or show up for court.
Why would Democrats want to get rid of this very important agency except that they support the free flow of those from other places into our country — no matter what, or how bad, their motives? Why are Democrats more concerned with encouraging illegal immigration than they are with protecting America’s citizens?
Sadly, there’s only one answer.
Politics. Democrats believe that eventually all these illegals will be able to vote and, as their champions, Democrats will get those votes. The more illegals they can get in now, the more votes Democrats can count on later. It’s a critical part of their strategy to gain and stay in control.
It’s a sad sate of affairs when the well-being and safety of our people and our country is sacrificed for a cynical calculation to gain political power.
So, what can we do? Pretty easy actually. We can make damn sure we hold the House and gain firm control of the Senate in November. It’s the only way we stop the Democrats from allowing a massive home invasion that threatens our lives, and liberty; and eventually destroys our country.
