PERPLEXED!

I must admit, I’m perplexed.  

I’m perplexed because I simply don’t understand the behavior of some people living in America. A few examples:

Hollywood stars and TV personalities who proudly and loudly proclaim our president is a racist with absolutely no proof or evidence of this. As a matter of fact, his actions are 100% contrary to those statements.

Professional athletes who are paid millions of dollar refusing to stand and respect our flag. I guess they think that since they are on National TV it is their right to make their feelings known. I wonder if they believe this is the best way to serve as role models for young Americans. It’s interesting to note that in a very recent poll, the largest percentage of those who have stopped watching the NFL say they are fed up with these spoiled babies who refuse to honor our flag, our military, our country.

Schools banning the American flag on campus or chants of ‘USA’ because it may offend someone. What?  

Educators telling students that our nation would be better off if President Trump were dead or injured … educators allowing students out of class to protest our president … schools banning all positive reference to our President (hats, tee shirts, posters, etc.) because others might be offended … educators who promote violence against cops or support the BLM and anti-fa terrorist organizations.

City councils in Maryland voting to allow people who are NOT American citizens to vote in local elections.  

A Congress and Senate that fundamentally refuse to work with our President who is trying to fulfill the wishes of the American people.

A mayor of the 3rd largest city in America saying the city does not welcome Trump or his supporters; the head of the teacher union in the same city calling the legislature and the governor racists because they want to improve education opportunities for blacks. This is also the same city that has the toughest gun laws and the highest number of shootings and deaths by guns. Oh, and is almost broke.

Cities (and some states) refusing to honor federal laws requiring the arrest of illegals who break the law. These cities spend millions of dollars provided by the federal government, but insist on thumbing their nose at federal laws (not to mention the safety of their citizens.)   

A Democratic Party and leadership that has adopted the policy of “RESIST and IMPEACH” as their best solution to solving America’s problems. In addition, party leadership that cheated and lied during the 2016 election while they promoted a Presidential candidate under investigation for allowing secret documents to be held on a personal server which were hacked, copied, and used by potential enemies of our nation.

So, how did we get here?

I’m not sure I know the answer, but I’m about 90% sure current attitudes and behaviors are at least partly thanks to the policies of Obama (and Clinton). I’m talking about their over-reaching political correctness … constant division of Americans by income, gender, race, and religion … opposition to a strong military … support for those entering the country illegally … undermining the free market system and persecution of business (especially small business) … and promoted the narrative that America and Americans are evil in the world. Sadly, in eight years he (they) accomplished a great deal of his agenda.

So a large number of Americans said ENOUGH is ENOUGH. They elected Trump, and rejected Hillary Clinton who they knew as a direct continuation of the Obama agenda, but with an added dose of corruption. It was a powerful and unexpected movement that set the media and the establishment on their heels. It also gave rise to a huge backlash of some percentage of Americans who decided they would do everything possible to see the Obama agenda pursued and even expanded.

The result is a large number of radicalized media personalities who will do whatever they can to ruin our Republic. They want a huge central government that imposes by force their conception of what’s good for the rest of us whether we like it or not. And in service to their vision they promote high taxes, more regulation, violence against those who disagree, and constant attempts to divide, exploit, and obfuscate.

It’s a media culture that promotes lies and half-truths in service to mis-represent the actions of the current administration all with the goal of continuing the policies of Obama (and Clinton).

If the media were honest (latest study shows that 91% of all coverage of the administration was negative) here’s what they would talk about:

A President who is working very hard to pull Americans together and stop the division of our people.

A President who is doing everything in his power to generate good jobs for the American people.

A President who supports the order of law for EVERYONE.

A President who is trying the reduce taxes in a fair way, but with a high priority on tax reforms that will make America’s economy blossom.

A President who is rebuilding our military to protect our people.

A president who is cutting the size and over-reach of government.

A President who is working toward legal solutions to immigration rather than executive orders that violate the Constitution he was sworn to protect.

A President who believes in America and is working hard to ‘Make America Great Again.’

A President who is not afraid of political ramifications when he reaches across the aisle to help accomplish some of his promises to the American people

A President who is fundamentally honest in his job as president. Slip-ups?  Sure. Occasional exaggerations? Yep. Some mis-steps? Of course. But when those are stacked against his accomplishments in an honest person’s mind, they pale by comparison.

Sadly, the media is not honest. It is corrupt with its own liberal agenda that promotes any bad behavior aimed at undermining Donald Trump. The more division, anger, hysteria, and violence, the more they like it. And the more they blame Trump.  But the truth is that it isn’t Trump causing our deep dysfunction. It’s the finger-pointers and the radicals. It’s the very people who want to blame Donald Trump.

Perplexed, yeah; but what I believe is that if enough of us continue to speak up for the President when he’s right (we may never get 100%); and oppose the dishonest media every time they’re wrong,  then we can hope to wear down the Obama/Clinton leftists who want to destroy the Republic we love.
