Sound and Fury
September 20, 2018

I usually believe it’s good practice when you smell smoke to make sure the building’s not burning down.
Like millions of Americans, I was stunned when the sexual abuse allegations came out about Judge Kavanaugh. You would think after 7 previous investigations by the FBI and a prior confirmation by the U.S. Senate, this guy would be pretty much spotless.
Like many, I initially thought it smart to pay attention to the testimony of a victim of sexual abuse even though the event took place some 35 years earlier. After all, who in their right mind would make up such a charge just to stop an otherwise brilliant and highly qualified Supreme Court nominee?
Then the facts started coming out and without exception they cast doubts on the accusation against Judge Kavanaugh.
The accuser is an active part of the RESIST movement.
The accuser is an open borders supporter.
She is a Pro-Choice activist.
She was a big supporter of the Hillary for President campaign.
Her attorney has a long record of supporting left wing causes.
In 20 plus year, the accuser never once mentioned the supposed “assault” — not even to a best friend after the assault.
The only other witness — and alleged accomplice — agrees with Judge Kavanaugh that the event never happened.
No other witnesses exist.
Some memories seem to be crystal clear, others very blurry.
There is absolutely zero evidence Judge Kavanaugh has ever engaged in this kind of activity before or after the alleged incident. In fact, 65 women of varying partisan and ideological affiliations who knew Judge Kavanaugh in high school attest to their experience that he always treated girls with respect.
Senator Feinstein kept secret the allegation for more than 6 weeks, only making it public on the eve of a confirmation vote.
The accuser at first insisted on staying anonymous, then allowed her name to be used, then insisted on testifying to the judiciary committee, then demanded a full FBI criminal investigation before she would agree to testify. In short, delay, delay, delay.
Evidence is mounting that the left will do or say anything to stop Judge Kavanaugh from being seated on the highest court in the land
I am open to learning more, but to me the evidence is starting to mount that this is more an 11th hour Anita-Hill reprise than it is a real infraction by the Judge. In other words, it smells like a rat; and a big-fat progressive rat at that.
In fact, this tale is starting to remind me of that famous line in Shakespeare’s play Macbeth: “Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
And just to be clear, if it weren’t for the last 8 years of the very divisive Obama Administration shutting out Republicans, I suspect it would be much easier for both sides to work together.
But given their slash-and-burn propensity to harass, smear, and ultimately stop any effort by President Trump and his Administration to move our country forward, Democrat credibility is pretty much at the breaking point. I wonder if they realize this increasingly apparent slander might be the tipping point from which it cannot recover?
