Stupidity or Hypocrisy? Or Both?

July 11, 2018

TheSupremeCourt

We’ve talked many times about the hypocrisy and cynicism of a leftist Democrat Party that ALWAYS puts their own political control ahead of the best interests of our nation and our people.

Even before the President announced his recent choice for the Supreme Court, the left was already in full panic mode. Hysterical accusations, mass protests, manic frenzy. But wait, who or what was causing all the melodrama? Before a nominee was even announced, the liberals-progressives-socialists were making asses of themselves.

They even printed press releases attacking the nominee with a blank space for the name once it was finally announced. They designed signs, reserved advertising time, and started writing TV and Radio commercials — all with the nominee’s name left blank.

And if anyone doubts the stupidity of the left, when they finally did fill in the name on those signs and press releases, they misspelled the nominee’s name. WOW!

But this is about so much more than the dull wits on the left. It’s about the future well-bing of our Republic and our people. Because when our leadership, whether right or left, puts politics ahead of doing what’s right, then our Republic is sincerely doomed.

Now I get that someone might legitimately be concerned about an issue that may come before the Supreme Court. If that issue concerns the well-being of our country, then protesting a specific candidate on the wrong side of that issue is certainly appropriate — even noble.

But when the immediate knee jerk reaction is protest without reason for nothing more than partisan political gain…if they are purely protesting the President…then politics has taken over. And that, my friends is very scary and very dangerous.

It is the right — no it’s the absolute responsibility — of every President to fill Supreme Court vacancies when they occur. It is likewise the right and responsibility of the U.S. Senate to give a fair hearing to that nominee, and then an up or down vote in a timely manner.

Let’s hope all that actually happens.
