The DNC’s Break With Reality

Please read the first two paragraphs of an email I received recently from the CEO of The Democratic National Committee:

“My name is Seema Nanda, and as of this week, I'm the DNC's new Chief Executive Officer. I'm honored to take on this role -- especially now, when the stakes have never been higher. Simply put, we are fighting now for the soul of our country -- for our democracy and for opportunity.

“Democrats are offering the positive solutions so desperately needed right now -- solutions forged by the strength of our diversity, the rigor of our ideas, and the decency of our values. Since Trump took office, it's been clear that the number one best way for us to set our country back on track is to elect Democrats in every corner of our country. That's why I took this job, and why I'm excited to work with loyal Democrats like you.”

Just to be clear, I’m no Democrat — loyal or otherwise.

But I wanted to send this along as just one recent example of how communications from the politically cynical need not bear any resemblance to reality.  

The first sentence of the second paragraph clearly has no basis is truth: “…positive solutions”? Really? Has anyone heard one solution from the Democrats/socialists that doesn’t require one group or another to lose their freedom through abusive taxation. And does anyone really believe the rest of us will be better off by turning control of our lives over to government bureaucrats?

Ms. Nanda talks about “the rigor of our ideas”? Yes, they are vigorously pushing for open borders, for gender neutrality and for massive government rule of our lives.  

The “decency of our values”? Really? The refusal to allow those trapped in poverty to choose their own schools? Supporting the unfettered ability to kill babies up to 5 minutes before birth? The ability of any pervert to use whatever bathroom they want?

I wish Ms. Nanda well in her new role, but maybe a better start would be to tell the truth about what the Democrat Party is really offering.

She will learn the hard way that there are Democrats who are not as stupid as she (and Bernie, Elizabeth, and Hillary) think.  

Sadly, she has nothing to tell those members about Democrat Party policies that increase freedom, empower families, or build a stronger, more prosperous economy. There aren’t any!

Increasingly, the Democrat message appeals only to a far left wing that supports open borders, higher taxes, a weaker America disrespected by the rest of the world, and polices that can only lead to less economic growth and fewer jobs.

Or she can continue sending emails that don’t tell the truth about the policies and principles of the new, far left Democrat Party.
