The New Anti-Trump Hotel
August 07, 2018

Really? Is there no end to how far they’ll go?
Recently, I ran across a story in an on-line edition of Travel and Leisure titled: “Inside the New Anti-Trump Hotel.”
You know, there’s some stuff you just can’t make up. This is one of them. Because this fall, a new anti-Trump hotel is opening for business in Washington DC.
It’s part of the upscale Langham Hospitality Group. It’s founder, Katherine Lo, thought combining activism (code for anti Trump, Anti Republican) with an upscale hotel was just the ticket to “promote dialog, and debate.” It’s hardly a leap to imagine that “dialog and debate” really means bashing the President and ridiculing the Republican Party.
The article I read said the hotel is producing “workshops” intended to “create an honest dialog” on important issues. Issues like women’s rights, race in the US, climate change, food waste, health care and more. There is no evidence that issues like cutting taxes, strengthening our national defense, expanding education choice, or improving border security will be among the ‘important topics’ discussed.
The left constantly denies their actual game plan is to divide us into such small pieces that no one else will ever have anything close to a plurality.
Now they’re carrying their strategy of division to truly ridiculous extremes. They’re erecting a hotel where only those who hate Trump are welcomed. Apparently the rest of us — us “deplorables” — will stay elsewhere (despite our not building a hotel labeled “pro-Trump.”). It’s certainly not the Hyatt Hotels owned by the far left family of the Chicago Pritzkers. J.B. Pritzker is currently running for Governor of Illinois.
What’s next? How about a new airline called “Detest Trump Air” where instead of watching a movie you get a constant stream of socialist propaganda that would make a normal person want to open the door and jump at 30,000 feet.
For those who resist the temptation to jump, once the plane lands you can call your Uber car which is only allowed to make left turns.
I believe that if Ms. Lo was truly sincere, then rather than a luxury hotel, she would have opened a bunch of low cost motels where everyone washes their own sheets and towels, where three rooms share a bathroom (i.e. out-house,) and where cars — and the lots in which they park — are banned. The Bernie crowd and the NEA-brainwashed millennials who support him would love such a low-cost, socialist alternative.
I make light, but face it folks, this is just another facet of the socialist Democrat strategy to divide our country and our people.
Here’s an idea. Rather than “workshops” designed to bash Trump and the roughly half of Americans who support him, how about an honest discussion centered on Trump’s actual policies and the results they’ve generated.
Of course, if they did that, the left would have to admit what most Americans already know. Trump is doing what most politicians never do — he’s keeping his promises and getting real results.
