The Swamp-Stench Getting Worse

Throw a coke in the face of a kid wearing a MAGA hat and the media calls the coke-thrower a hero courageously standing up for his 1st Amendment rights to free speech. After all, anyone wearing a Trump hat must be an oppressor and therefore evil. Regardless of the facts, or the age of the wearer, anyone even potentially pro-Trump deserves to be vilified and condemned.

Be an Indian with a drum (and a criminal record,) and chant anti-Trump prattle to a young pro-life kid from a Christian school wearing a MAGA hat and the media’s automatic impulse is to blame the kid as a bully and defend the poor native American as a victim.

For 24 hours the media and the far-left wardens of political self-righteousness used an edited video clip to crucify this poor kid. Then, when the full video got out, oops, the truth emerged. The fact is, it was the Indian who attacked, abused, and bullied the kid. A few retractions appeared on the back page, but no one actually apologized.

We just witnessed more fall-out from the left’s knee jerk hatred for half of America. Jussie Smollett, an actor on the popular show Empire, and card-carrying Trump-hater, set up a phony attack on himself so he could claim to be the victim of racist, anti-gay, pro-Trump thugs.

When Smollett filed a police report accusing Trump supporters of attacking him, the left went nuts doing exactly what Smollett knew they would do. Oprah screamed. The clowns on The View danced. And most of the national news anchors huffed their disapproval of all things Trump. In fact, they accused not only Trump, but also the 50% of Americans who voted for him, of being racists and homophobes.

But according to police, Smollett staged the attack so he could negotiate a pay hike for his work as a gay black actor on Empire.

Damn, once again, some anti-Trump actor screams hate-crime and the left dances to his tune.

There are dozens of other examples where Hollywood, the socialists in Congress, and the far-left mainstream media leap to condemn Trump and his supporters of the worst kinds of white supremacism, and haters of free speech.

The truth though is exactly the reverse. The domain of speech suppression is owned almost entirely by the left. They are the shock troops of political correctness — punishing anyone who disagrees.

You don’t hear about a Trump supporter ripping a Hillary cap from someone’s head. They don’t throw soft drinks in the faces of their opponents. They don’t beat up vets — or even old socialists — bound to a wheel chair. They don’t even harass their political opponents in restaurants and movie theaters.

Sadly, these are the tactics of a left that increasingly is out of control — a left who won’t hesitate to accuse the rest of us of the most terrible things. It’s hypocrisy at its worst and yet the media won’t call them on it and the left won’t apologize.

It’s become apparent the swamp is a lot bigger, and a lot deeper than even Donald Trump thought. It stretches from Washington DC to Hollywood with wide spots at nearly every college and state capitol along the way.

And the stench is only getting worse.
