They Only Think We’re That Stupid
May 18, 2018

Now I know I’m no rocket scientist or pediatric neurosurgeon. But I also don’t think I’m at the bottom of the intelligence spectrum. I don’t think you are either.
Of course, that’s not what the liberal elites want you and me to believe.
I’m sure you see it too. Our betters are constantly speaking down to us from their perch as the smarter, brighter, more knowledgeable among us.
I guess they don’t realize we’re smart enough to remember when President Obama supported many of the things they now blame on President Trump. Take the relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Of course, the only difference is that while Obama made the promise, Trump actually kept it.
Obama also promised us a middle class tax cut — another promise he didn’t keep. Trump did. And the $500 to $1500 that millions of Americans will get back is a hell of a lot more than the “crumbs” Nancy Pelosi claimed it was. And that doesn’t count the millions of new jobs, increasing wages, and fantastic opportunities Americans are now experiencing thanks to Trump’s pro-economic policies.
Speaking of Nancy Pelosi, remember her famous line on Obamacare? “We will have to pass the bill to see what is in it.” She thinks we’re too stupid to realize that what most Americans found in it were bigger health care premiums, poorer quality, and fewer choices.
The liberal elites who know best have no clue that Hillary Clinton’s calling half the U.S. population “DEPLORABLE” was massively offensive. While she eventually apologized, most of us are certainly smart enough to know her apology was pure political theatre. We’re well aware that she and her liberal friends think they are indeed superior to us common “deplorables.”
We know they think we’re stupid because they treat us like we’re stupid. And we’re at least smart enough to see it. They talk down to us. They lie to us. They regularly insult our beliefs, our thoughts, our feelings, our lives.
They believe with every fiber of their nasty, arrogant, perverted beings that we should just shut the hell up, believe as they do, do what they say, and vote the way they tell us. They think we’ll overlook their corruption, arrogance, and dishonesty. They think if they offer us enough free government stuff, we’ll overlook their anti-freedom, socialist ideology; and their anti-constitution actions.
They honestly believe we are too stupid to see that the 25 billion dollar price tag to build a wall is a huge savings over the hundreds of billions that go each year to feeding, housing, imprisoning, educating and taking care of millions of illegals.
Folks, we are Americans, and NO corrupt, lying, dishonest, manipulative, liberal socialist is going to take that away from me. I pray they won’t take it from you either. Or our children. Or our grandchildren. Not Hillary. Not Chucky. Not Nancy. Not Mad Max. Not any of these elites who think we’re too stupid to run our own lives.
In the tradition of Stalin, Mao, Hitler, and Pol Pot they believe they’re the only ones competent to decide what we should do, believe, care about. They believe despotism is warranted because our freedom impedes their perfect goals. So for them, taking our freedom isn’t immoral, it’s required.
At Stars and Stripes our message is simple. No. Not now. Not ever!
