What The Democrat Convention Told Us
September 01, 2020

Ever since Donald Trump won the election in 2016, the left has bubbled over with hate - not just for him, but also for the people who were driven to support him.
But it didn’t start in 2016. It started at least 8 years earlier with the election of Barack Obama. That’s when Democrats launched their divide and conquer strategy. They divided Americans by class, race, income, education, age, gender, religion, and whatever other tribal identities they could claim were victims of America’s economy and institutions.
The vile hatred spewed at President Trump during their convention this year was appalling and disgusting. But there was no talk of the $4 trillion tax increase they want to ram down our throats. Nor did they talk about how Trump’s tax cuts brought our economy back to greater prosperity than we’d ever experienced. Nor was there any mention of how Obama and Biden collapsed our military.
What they did discuss was “redirecting” taxpayer money for “investment.” What investments exactly they’re talking about is another thing they didn’t mention.
Nor was there any talk of the wealth tax that both Bernie and Liz want and, therefore, Biden will also support. They didn’t talk about it because it marks the first time in our nation’s history that the government will confiscate assets; not on the income you make in a given year, but on all you own every year.
Imagine the farmer, retired couple, or business owner who each and every year has to sell off part of their assets to pay this absurd and unfair tax - and the long term impact of those assets forever gone.
One of their favorite complaints against Trump is the provision in his tax cuts that stopped the practice of taxpayer subsidies for wealthy homeowners in high tax states. It’s especially fun to watch Nancy Pelosi whine about Trump’s ending subsidies for the wealthy while she gorges on $12 per pint ice cream.
Another favorite complaint is Trump’s refusal to use federal tax dollars to bail out cities and states who through corruption and mismanagement have piled up immense debt. Most are also sanctuary locales that offer free benefits to illegal immigrants costing their taxpayers a fortune.
Think about it. I come to your city with my family and demand education, so my non-English speaking kids go to the public school. None of us have a regular physician so we use the emergency room for our health care.
Of course we need a place to live and we need money, so I go to the local farmer, restaurant, or construction company and agree to work for lower wages than my American-Citizen neighbors - paid in cash - and, bingo, another American is deprived of the chance for a job. Before you know it my family of 4 is costing the taxpayers 10’s of thousands of dollars per year.
It’s always good to see Hillary-corrupt-Clinton who no doubt hopes for a major role in Biden’s Administration. At the DNC, Hillary was still complaining she lost the election in 2016 to Trump. She blames the electoral college, the U.S. Constitution, sexism, and liberals who failed to vote. The person she never blames is herself. Trump won fair and square, but four years later, she can’t accept the results.
Democrats operate under the belief that pure ugly hatred aimed at Donald Trump is enough to win this election. It’s astonishingly insulting to the intelligence of America’s voters.
So why all the whining, but no mention of actual policy proposals to address their complaints? No doubt because the far left agenda that has captured the imagination of Democrat leaders won’t win them the votes they need to gain power. That’s why they don’t talk about the accelerating trend of far-left state and municipal Democrats to defund their police departments. Nor did they mention the rioting, looting, assault, and murders these and other soft-on-crime policies have exacerbated.
They didn’t display the outrage at black babies being killed by BLM rioters, violent white ANTIFA thugs, and gang members. Instead, they promote a false narrative that America is systemically racist and anyone who disagrees is just further evidence. Worse, they insist that anyone concerned with justice must be outraged. Is it any wonder, given that justification, that cities are burning from coast to coast, hundreds have been killed or injured, and billions in damages are racked up?
No problem they say, just elect Democrats and all the rage will go away. It’s the very definition of terrorism, seeking political ends through violence and destruction.
Senior Democrat Party leaders have also been silent on the threats from China: the need to bring back manufacturing, restore domestic drug production, and stand against China’s increasing military and political domination. There’s a reason the Chinese Communist Party supports Joe Biden’s election, he’s a big part of why we’re in the mess we are with China, he helped weave America into the tangled web during his 47 years in Washington DC.
Kamala Harris once said young people were “stupid,” but I heard nothing about that at the convention. There was also no mention of Trump being the first president to guarantee ongoing funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We also didn’t hear how Trump had passed criminal justice reform undoing the law by Joe Biden that imprisoned blacks for minor, non-violent offenses. And, of course, they didn’t admit the lowest pre-Covid unemployment rates among blacks in our history.
Another thing Americans didn’t hear at the DNC was any mention of Trump’s policy successes before the attack by the Chinese virus. All their complaints centered on what’s happened since the Chinese attacked us, and the rest of the world, with a global pandemic. Not a peep about the three years before the virus, let alone the 47 years Biden served in high public office.
What was on clear display during the DNC is the utter contempt Democrat leaders have for honesty, truth, and reality. We’ve seen it before. Barack “you-can-keep-your-plan-if-you-like-your-plan” Obama. Hillary “destory-the-hard-drive” Clinton. Susan “murder-of-Americans-at-Benghazi-was-in-reaction-to-a-video” Rice. Bill “I-did-not-have-sex-with-that-woman” Clinton.
With their convention, Democrats didn’t meet the minimum requirement for earning America’s support. They didn’t tell us what they would do if they won. Most of what they did say was untrue. If there was any doubt before their convention, they made it clear in the event, they don’t deserve the votes of Americans.
